Miranda Lambert was one of the top performers this year at the 2023 CMA Fest concert. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, some of the top country music artists from around the world took part in the big show. However, it wasn’t just country singers that took the stage over the weekend. Miranda even brought her new “bestie” to sing some songs with her during her set.

Miranda was about to kick into her hit song “Kerosene” when she stopped and told the audience that she was going to “make more bada** happen right now.” She then introduced her new “bestie,” Avril Lavigne. The punk star came to the stage and the crowd went nuts. She then started singing “Kerosene” and Miranda joined her in the song.

However, it wasn’t just country music that the two icons sang together. After “Kerosene,” it was time for Miranda to sing one of Avril’s most popular songs with her on stage and they followed up with their rendition of “Sk8r Boi.” Just like with “Kerosene,” the two singers took turns with parts of the song.

Avril Lavigne wasn’t the only guest to join Miranda Lambert on the stage. She also brought out Leon Bridges to sing “If You Were Mine” with her and then later she had Elle King come out and join her in singing, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).”
