Kylie Frey Moves To The Next Round On America’s Got Talent
Kylie Frey also known as the “Rodeo Queen” from Louisiana, is making her way onto people’s television screens. Country music fans have known her for a while already. But she has garnered a lot of attention while being on America’s Got Talent. It seems she has become a fan favorite during her time on the show. This week was no different, as she provided the audience and judges with an emotional performance of her original song, titled “Horses in Heaven. A song that holds great meaning to her because it’s dedicated to her late grandfather. Before she hit the stage, viewers were able to see some of Kylie’s story.

Kylie reminisced about her life growing up in a “big rodeo family”. She explained how she would sing for those events and her grandfather was a big part of why she pursued singing. He encouraged Kylie to keep going. If she continued showing up at rodeos to perform, an opportunity would come where she’d be offered to sing the national anthem at NFR. When it was time for her to sing, Kylie confessed how she was “nervous” about singing. This could be because, of how sentimental this song is to her and the memories she has of her grandfather.
After giving everyone a performance no one will forget, it was time to face the changes to see if she was qualified to move on to the next part of this competition. As she and the audience waited, judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara all voted yes. However, fellow judge Howie Mandel voted no, stating that “the song wasn’t sticking around with him after the closing notes”. Although Kylie Frey didn’t receive all yes votes, she still gracefully made it through another week.
As a result of her performance on America’s Got Talent, she also gained support from Reba McEntire who is a famous country music star. Reba tweeted, “Us rodeo girls gotta stick together! Loved your #AGT audition, Kylie!” Kylie Frey went on to retweet the Twitter post, explaining how she was in shock about everything, that has happened and thanked Reba for the support.
