Blake Shelton offered fans at his Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, a special concert on Friday night. However, what he delivered was a complete surprise to the fans in attendance. Blake was there, but this was a debut concert for a new performer – the first of the young man’s career.
Here is who Blake Shelton brought out to Ole Red and why this was such a special concert.
Blake Shelton offers special guest at concert
When fans showed up to Blake Shelton’s Tishomingo, Oklahoma, bar, Ole Red, on Friday night, they knew there was a newcomer taking the stage. It was funny because Blake downplayed the entire event, saying it was “not a big deal at all.” It turned out to be a very big deal when the concert arrived and Blake brought out a special guest.
However, fans had no idea who this was ahead of time, and why it was so important to Blake. When the concert started, it turned out that the singer taking the stage was Blake’s stepson, Kingston Rossdale.
Kingston, 17, took the stage and performed his first-ever live concert in front of fans at Ole Red. This was a huge moment for fans, as Kingston is second-generation music royalty. His mother, of course, is Blake’s wife Gwen Stefani, who made her name in the punk-ska band No Doubt. Kingston’s father is Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of Bush.
Kingston then performed his set at Ole Red and impressed everyone in attendance. Remember, Kingston’s parents are rock stars, so he wasn’t going to get up there and sing country songs just because it was Blake Shelton’s bar. In fact, his voice sounds a lot like his dad’s in the video of his performance at Ole Red.
After the performance, he thanked the fans in attendance and then turned and saw Blake. The two shared a big hug on the stage, eliciting a huge response from the crowd. It was really a special moment for Blake and Gwen and their family.
Blake Shelton wasn’t finished there
That didn’t mark the end of the night for the fans in attendance at Ole Red. After hugging Kingston, Blake took a chair with his guitar and said he wasn’t going to let Kingston headline the concert. He asked fans what they wanted to hear and more than one person kept yelling Gwen Stefani’s name.

Blake appeased them but said he wasn’t good at singing the song. He started to play “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt on his guitar and then Gwen Stefani walked out. She gave Blake a big hug. Shelton then moved back on the stage and kept playing as Gwen belted out her signature hit song.
