Lainey Wilson Brought To Tears By Dolly Parton
As a child growing up, you learn so many things from your parent(s). If you’re a fan of music, you would have experienced so much of it. That is where singers and rappers are created, because of the artists who have inspired them during the different stages of life. It’s no different for country singer Lainey Wilson. Her idol is Dolly Parton. Who can blame her? Dolly is pretty great and she has hits on top of hits. She has definitely paved the way, for singers that have come after her.

Last week Lainey did an interview with Access Daily’s Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover. She went on the show, to talk about an update on music that includes a collaboration with Dolly Parton herself. During this time she explained, “She was just everything I imagined and more. They say don’t meet your heroes, but she’s just got a heart of gold.” Many fans of country music, can agree with Lainey’s statement. The encounter between the two happened, at the latest ACM Awards. Lainey won Female Vocalist Of The Year, which was exciting for her. However, there was one moment that was even more exciting. She stated, “The way that we met was at the ACMs, she was presenting Female Vocalist Of The Year and she called my name and that’s how I met her”.
A Dream Collaboration
Lainey continued on with the memory, sharing the conversation she and Dolly had. Dolly said, “I’m so excited about this new song me and you are doing together”. That would be a dream for any Dolly Parton fan and it’s so wonderful that Lainey gets to experience this. Lainey also added, “We’re doing something for The Judds’ tribute record and it’s just really cool to think that little Lainey was dreaming about being in the same room as Dolly Parton and now I’m getting to do music with her”. A dream come true sums up this sweet moment for her.

Shocked By A Country Music Legend
While doing her interview, Lainey got the shock of her life, when she found out Dolly Parton sent a video message. In the video, Dolly said, “Hey Lainey, guess who? It’s your singing partner Dolly. You know we did a song ‘Mama He’s Crazy’ that’s going to be coming out soon together, but I loved working with you on the AMCs and I’m so proud of you.” Lainey was brought to tears by Dolly’s words and it will be a special moment in her life that she won’t forget.
