Lainey Wilson says she never thought about writing a love song till her current boyfriend. It seems love has a way of connecting people through music. But what’s the process like for Lainey? Lainey Wilson Has ‘Never’ Written A Love Song Until Boyfriend Devlin Hodges
During a recent interview, Lainey Wilson shared some of her personal life, giving people a small glimpse of her current relationship with former NFL player Devlin Hodges. The couple made their red-carpet debut at the ACM Awards earlier this year, although they’ve been dating for two and half years now. Lainey has stated that she is “very happy” with Devlin and that their relationship is healthy. She also went on to say how she is in love but didn’t know if she would ever be able to admit those words.

Lainey Wilson, a Louisiana native became a hit star during these past couple of years. Finding inspiration through her life experiences and she puts pen to paper. She explains, “If I’m going through a breakup, or dealing with a family member being sick, I’m writing about that”. Lainey Wilson also stated how “It’s important for me to take advantage of those feelings and not be scared of them”. Writing helps her express her feelings and it gets her through, whatever life lessons she is dealing with. So it is not a surprise that Lainey has decided to get out of her comfort zone. By doing so, she has written a few love songs about her boyfriend, Devlin Hodges. Devlin has even heard them before.

His favorite songs of hers are the ones written about him. She goes on to say, “He makes it very easy for me to do that”. For Lainey, this is a “really busy season of life that I’m in”. So writing songs that make her feel balanced or think of home is something is enjoys doing. Nowadays, it is easy for Lainey Wilson to show a different side of her, because of Devlin. Their relationship has inspired her as an artist, and even Lainey herself is taken aback by it.
Lainey Wilson’s next album is just coming together but she is letting everyone know that it is going to be different. She is working on some love songs, which is a new thing for her. But she wants her fans to experience the changes and growth in her life.
