Luke Bryan has been suffering from some serious health issues. Now he’s calling out an a**hole fan. What happened?

Luke Bryan’s Recent Health Issues

Luke Bryan isn’t having a good summer. His 2023 tour, Country on Tour, kicked off in Syracuse, NY, on June 15th. Most of his tour was going well until August, when he had to cancel several tour dates in a row.

He was forced to cancel his dates in Utah, Idaho, and a festival appearance at Watershed Music Festival in George, Washington. Bryan posted on social media that a “head cold” was the reason behind the cancellation.

The “But I Got a Beer in My Hand” singer returned to the stage for two shows before canceling again. Following doctor’s orders, he canceled his concert scheduled for August 13 in Mississippi.

After a few days rest, he was back on stage on August 17 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was there that the American Idol judge had some choice words to say.

Luke Bryan Calls Out A**hole Amid Health Issues

Luke Bryan was devastated to cancel one show, let alone several. Most fans were understanding about the issue, wishing him a fast recovery.

Country Now reports that he also made jokes during the Cincinnati show about losing so much money from canceling his tour stops. “I’m gonna need y’all to buy a couple extra t-shirts tonight,” he joked to the audience.

However, not everyone was so supportive. During his stop in Ohio, Luke Bryan took a minute to thank those in attendance for their patience with his illness. But went on to say, “You really learn there are some a**holes out there.”

He made it clear that he was talking about one person. The outlet notes that Bryan told the audience he was referring to one individual who was “hounding” him on social media about canceling some shows.

“But we’re not gonna focus on one asshole,” he told the crowd.

After the show, he took to social media to thank the fans again – or just one fan?

In a post to Twitter, he wrote, “Sorry for the inconveniences to my fan the last few weeks. Love y’all.”

Does he think he only has one fan?

No, he made a typo. He posted a follow-up tweet clarifying that he meant fans, plural.

Was Luke Bryan out of line for calling out an a**hole fan, or was it well-deserved? Let us know in the comments below.

His Country On Tour wraps up on October 28th in Charleston, South Carolina. However, he extended his Las Vegas residency into January 2024. He will also return as a judge for Season 22 of American Idol.
