Carrie Underwood managed to surprise her fans during Sunday Night Football’s opening. The start of football season is always an exciting time of the year for many people. Tailgating and donning your favorite team’s wardrobe has long been a tradition this time of year. For country music fans, Sunday Night Football has been a whole lot sweeter for the past 11 years. That’s how long Carrie has been gracing the screen with her amazing renditions of “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night.” This season there was an added element to the opening, as it was announced in August. What was it?
Carrie Underwood stuns in metallic
As always, Carrie Underwood dominated when it came to her wardrobe for the traditional opening. The country music sensation consistently changes up her style while on stage. This time she took it to a whole new level. Her stunning outfit was all decked out in shiny metallic with one arm covered and the other bare. The fabulous attire also featured one leg completely covered by what looked like metallic scales right down to her boot. However, what made it unique was that her other leg was completely exposed showing off her famous physique.

Carrie commanded the stage as her goal was to get football fans excited for Sunday nights. She belted out the song as football players were seen on the field and fans cheering. The blond beauty then let the mic drop. The next thing you know Carrie is doing something completely out of the ordinary. The next scene had her showing off yet another talent of hers.
Carrie continues to surprise
As if this girl couldn’t be more talented, Carrie Underwood showed off another skill during the football opener. The mom of two took a seat behind a set of drums and started playing. She rocked out with plenty of headbanging and hitting those drumsticks just like the rockstar that she is. Once she flung the drumsticks in the air, she was once again back on stage with the microphone in her hand to finish up the rest of the tune.

The whole performance was filmed in Las Vegas at the Resorts World Theatre where Carrie is doing her residency through December. She expressed her excitement concerning the new season of football and the chance to do another year of performance for it.
“I loved shooting the show open again this year at our home away from home, the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, and can’t wait for another season of football,” she said in a previous statement.
