Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are one of the most popular power couples in Hollywood. So, why are fans ripping her to bits? Keep reading for all the details.
Gwen Stefani Returns To The Voice Without Husband
NBC’s reality singing competition, The Voice, is a huge part of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s love story. It’s where the two met during Season 7 of the show in 2014. They were both still married at the time, Blake Shelton to Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.
However, both marriages were on the rocks and would soon end. Shelton and Stefani went public with their romance in 2015 but didn’t marry until 2021.
After 23 seasons as a coach on The Voice, Blake Shelton decided to leave the show. His final season aired earlier this year, and Season 24 is about to start with a new coach.
Legendary country star Reba McEntire is stepping into Blake Shelton’s cowboy boots. Gwen Stefani will remain a coach for Season 24, but NBC already revealed the coaches for Season 25, and the No Doubt singer isn’t one of them. E! News reports that McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay are the coaches for the next season.
Blake Shelton seems to be enjoying his free time since leaving the show. Cameras caught the lovebirds enjoying a stroll through their neighborhood earlier this week.

Why Fans Are Ripping Gwen Stefani To Shreds
Fans generally love Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton together. The musicians often make surprise appearances at each other’s concerts. But Stefani’s latest social media post has fans seeing red.
Many of her followers took to the comments to call her out. What did she do?
Before she was on The Voice and embarked on her successful solo career, Gwen Stefani was part of the ska punk band No Doubt. Aside from Stefani on lead vocals, the band included guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young.
Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal dated for seven years. Many songs on the band’s Tragic Kingdom album were inspired by the breakup, including their most popular song, “Don’t Speak.”
On Sept. 21, The Voice coach took to her Instagram to pay tribute to one of the album’s biggest hits. “Happy bday “Just a Girl,”” she wrote alongside a video saying that for the rest of the month, she would be sharing “fun fan memories” about the song that was released in 1995.
However, the clips in the video featured only Gwen Stefani and none of her former bandmates. No Doubt went on a hiatus in 2013, and it seems unlikely they will reunite.
Stefani’s followers flooded the comment section calling her out for slighting the other members of No Doubt.
Here are a few of the disgruntled comments:
- Super weird to not acknowledge the BAND.
- It would have been a decent idea to include @tomdumontphoto @tonykanal @adrianyoungnd in this one @gwenstefani . @nodoubt made this song what it is, not just you.
- “Don’t forget your roots…”. Seems like you have. What a shame.
- Happy but sad. Sad that there is beef with the rest of the band. The band that played alongside you for years. Is money the reason?
- I need to know the reason behind trying to act like No Doubt never existed. Is it Gwen or executives behind the scenes and she has no power over it? It’s getting hard to remain a fan of just hers just because of how she is treating the rest of the bandmates.
Do you agree with fans that Gwen Stefani should credit or mention her No Doubt bandmates when paying tribute to songs the band recorded together? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Season 24 of The Voice premieres on NBC in just a few days. The new season kicks off on Monday, Sept. 25.
