Blake Shelton and his wife, Gwen Stefani, shared their secret to the best roast turkey from a gas station.
While Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton go all-out with their Christmas decorations, the halls aren’t the only thing they are dressing up and decking out for the holidays!
A Look Inside Their Kitchen
The Oklahoma couple, welcome viewers inside their kitchen while they prepared their Thanksgiving meal in a comforting Instagram Reel. The Reel was captioned, “Thanksgiving part 2:) from our family 2 yours, happy Thanksgiving!!” and, was set to Gwen’s song, “Cheer For The Elves.” The video featured behind-the-scenes clips of the couple preparing their holiday feast. They had stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes, and green beans-which all looked delicious. But, one flashy detail definitely aught everyone’s attention – the jacket, Blake had placed on the turkey!

The Secret To The Best Turkey…
As everyone knows, the familiar roasted turkey recipes that we all use, a brush of oil or butter, some salt and pepper. But, Blake and Gwen turned up the volume and shared with us a one-ingredient cooking trick. A trick I’m sure a lot of people will be trying on their future turkeys and chickens – crumbled Funyuns.
Yes, a road trip favorite, Funyuns! The Instagram Reel shows Blake pressing the onion flavored chip onto the skin of their stuffed turkey, just before putting it into the turkey roaster. Further into the video, you can see Blake getting a bite the fully cooked turkey, with the Funyun coating.
Shockingly, this is the first time Blake, married to Gwen since 2021, has used an item from the snack aisle as part of his holiday feast.

Blake Appears On, The Jennifer Hudson Show:
“The whole family, we really get into the holidays,” said Blake during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, on November 17, 2023. Blake was referring to Gwen’s children- Apollo, 9, Zuma, 15, and Kingston, 17. “They all watch TikTok… so they see these people making weird turkeys. A couple of years ago we had to make a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos turkey. Have you all seen this? You grind up the Cheetos, you put it on the turkey and then you make the turkey.”
Later in the show, Blake admitted to Jennifer, “I do cook, but you know, I’m limited on things that I think I would cook for you. I’m a good fryer. I fry stuff,” which obviously led to laughter.
The chip-coating is similar to faux frying, the crumbled Funyuns or even Cheetos, adds the extra flavor and crisp.
