Dolly Parton Hopes Miley Cyrus ‘Wins Everything’ At The Grammys

Dolly Parton hopes her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, wins everything at the Grammys. “She’s my little sweetheart,” said Dolly. The well-known singer, Miley, is nominated for six gramophones, including the coveted album of the year.

2024 Grammy Awards

Dolly has high hopes that Miley Cyrus will get her flowers at the 2024 Grammy awards. Recently while speaking with PEOPLE about her new line of baking mixes, she admitted how thrilled she is that her goddaughter, 31, received a large amount of nominations at the upcoming annual Grammy Awards.

“I’m so happy for her,” shared Dolly. “I just hope she wins as many as she can.”

Parton said she specifically hopes Miley’s number one hit “Flowers”- which has has the potential to be song of the year and best solo performance- receives the recognition she thinks it deserves. Dolly Parton commented, “I really love her song, ‘Flowers.’ That was a big, big song this past year, and so I hope she wins everything.”

The “Jolene” singer, has won 10 Grammys herself, and notes that she will be so proud of Miley whether she takes home a gramophone or not. She followed with, “I’ll be happy for her with whatever she does win. She’s my little sweetheart. You Know? My little goddaughter, so I feel very close to her.”

Dolly adds, “I know she’s nervous and excited, so I hope she does good.

Miley’s First Grammy Nominations

Cyrus has received her first-ever Grammy nominations at the upcoming award show. The show airs live on CBS and Paramount+, on February 4, 2023 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

With six nominations, the singer is among the most-nominated artists at the event. She is being celebrated for her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation and its tracks. Her song “Flowers” is up for record and song of the year as well as best pop vocal performance with, Brandi Carlile on the collaboration of “Thousand Miles.” They were nominated for best pop duo/group performance and the LP itself garnered nominations for the best pop vocal album and coveted album of the year.

Dolly Parton Shows Support

As everyone knows, Dolly has shown her support for her beloved goddaughter many times of the past years. She recently recruited her for her latest album.

The two teamed up for a duet of the classic 2013 track “Wrecking Ball” for the country singer’s 2023 record, Rockstar. It opened up opportunity for her to dip into the rock genre and record covers with a slate of iconic rock musicians.

After the release of their latest rendition of “Wrecking Ball,” Dolly shared a video on Instagram about how special it was to collaborate with Miley.

“I remember the first time I heard ‘Wrecking Ball,’ it hit me the same way as it did he first time I heard ‘I Will Always Love You’ by Whitney Houston.” She followed with, ” I was driving, heard that one, and I almost wrecked. And when I heard ‘Wrecking Ball,’ I almost wrecked again. I thought when it started into that chorus,’It hit me like a wrecking ball,’ I thought, ‘Well, how great can a song be?”

Her caption said, “How great can a song be and how great can @mileycyrus be?”

Miley then shared how honored she was to work with her godmother, on her Instagram. “I’ve grown up covering my Aunt Dollys music & it’s an honor to hear her singing one of my songs,” followed by, I love you Aunt Dolly! I’m so happy to add another collaboration under our bedazzled (studded leather) belt! We’re ROCKSTARS now! You can hear so much sweetness and love on this record. Excited to share it with everyone. Forever your Doll Baby, Miley.”
