Jessie Murph is a hot new powerhouse and she just got to perform in front of millions. She appeared briefly alongside Jelly Roll for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. So, who exactly is Jessie and what is there to know about her? Read on for more details.
Jessie Murph: Get To Know The Powerhouse
When Jelly Roll came out to perform for New Year’s Eve, he started with “Halfway to Hell.” Then, this tiny little beauty came out and sang alongside him. They performed his song, a duet called “Wild Ones” which features an ode to his beloved wife, Bunnie XO. As it turned out, it was actually Jessie Murph who was featured in the actual song with him. She was dressed in all white and had a sweet, spunky, yet Southern twang voice that was extremely catchy. He did shout out her name that night but so much was going on that it was a blink-and-you-miss-it moment.
So, who exactly is Jessie and what should fans know about her? According to Hollywood Life, she started out online and that was where she first gained an audience. That has since translated to chart-topping success at just nineteen years old. More so, she made a name for herself doing covers and she has not forgotten where she came from. Jessie still ensures that she does some of her hit covers at her shows which her online fans must really appreciate. As for her first single, she was signed to Columbia Records back in 2021.
That single followed shortly thereafter. However, her album did not come out until last year so she had about two years of just singles success. Murph is not just a singer but she is an acclaimed musician, playing guitar, ukulele, and piano. Essentially, she can be a one-woman band. If some are confused by her genre style, she has settled into country, and with good reason. She was born and raised in the south so it is in her blood.
The Collaborator
Though “Wild Ones” has been such an amazing collaboration for Jessie Murph given the year that Jelly Roll has had, there are more people she has worked with. Jessie also worked with Diplo and Polo G. Therefore, she has quite a diverse portfolio. She also has a very busy 2024 as she will be touring overseas all throughout February 2024. After that, it will be interesting to see what comes up next. Hopefully, more amazing music and collaborations because she is one to watch.
