Jelly Roll Makes Dying Grandma Feel ‘Special’ With Sweet Surprise
Life has been moving crazy fast for Jelly Roll and his family. Not only does he have the GRAMMY Awards coming up soon but he just came off of the high of New Year’s Eve. Along with his wife, Bunnie XO, and his daughter, Bailee, he traveled to New York City to perform on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest. Jelly performed three songs but was so emotionally grateful for the experience. He had watched this show growing up as did his wife. So, to be able to be on the show himself was a huge honor. Plus, Bunnie introduced him alongside Ryan Seacrest so that was even more exciting.
In his interview with Seacrest, Jelly talked about his love of giving back. Once again, he showed how much it means to him with his latest act. According to Whiskey Riff, Sharon Brown is a grandmother from Tennessee. Sadly, she has an aneurysm that has caused early-onset dementia. Additionally, Brown opted not to undergo dialysis and is now in renal failure so it is a bad situation all around. However, she does love Jelly though, at first glance, that may be shocking: “I think they’re shocked because of my age and my white hair.”

Brown has a Jelly tattoo, as does her daughter and they have gone to the Antioch church, which is core to the musician. In any case, he was singing there for the massive toy drive he had. That was when Brown’s daughter shared her mother’s story with members of Jelly’s staff, how it was her last wish to meet the superstar. Of course, he was ready and raring to roll. They met when he performed at the Grand Ole Opry and it was unlike anything.
The Big Meeting
When they finally met, Jelly Roll made Sharon Brown feel like she was a literal star.
“He gave me so many hugs. He made me feel like I was so special. He told me I only looked 50!”
This is why so many people just absolutely adore him and all that he does because he goes the extra mile. However long she has left, hopefully, it is a while, this will be a highlight. Thankfully, her daughter stepped up and helped to make the dream a reality.
