One of country music’s favorite couples seems to be having some hard times. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been a fan favorite ever since their time together on The Voice. However, now things do not seem so promising. The couple even spent New Year’s Eve apart. What could have caused the drift between the two?
The Couple’s Debut
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been a couple since 2015. They later got married in 2021. The two met on The Voice and have been inseparable ever since. Gwen shares three boys with her ex. Blake has happily taken on the stepfather role and has been super involved ever since.
Blake Shelton also has a shocking New Year’s resolution. According to The U.S. Sun, the country singer wants to cut back or completely stop drinking. This is ironic fact he hosts a game show that revolves around drinking, Barmageddon. How easy will this be for him and what is making him want to stop?
“I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. That’s been, you know, even cutting back has been hard. I mean, it’s a resolution though. And I’ll say it again right now — that’s my New Year’s resolution. Is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether.”

Blake Shelton Upset With Gwen Stefani
The last few months have seemed to be rough for the married couple. Blake and Gwen even spent New Year’s Eve apart. Blake Shelton was visibly upset by this. However, Shelton spent his holiday night performing at Win Star World Casino which is in between Oklahoma and Texas. Blake Shelton did not travel too far from home to be able to sing for his fans. While Blake Shelton was performing for the night, Gwen Stefani was in Las Vegas, Nevada. She spent her night attending an event for work. An inside source from Life & Style had some interesting things to say about the two.
“Lately, they’ve been at odds about everything from career decisions and the parenting of her three boys to where they spend most of their time. The tension continues to grow, and Blake and Gwen are drifting apart as a result.”
Fans are very hopeful the two can work things out. Both have had serious past relationships that did not work out, so it would be a shame for this one to fall apart.
