When you think of successful acts that have crossed over into country music, Aaron Lewis surely comes to mind. The Staind singer has a thriving solo career as a country artist, and, he takes that same grit and authenticity with him into this arena. Recently, he released a brand new single, and even talked about his upcoming album. So, what can fans expect?
Aaron Lewis Is A Crossover Success
For many music fans, they first met Aaron Lewis as the frontman of Staind in the early 90s and 2000s. Along with his iconic vocals, Staind’s music has always translated well acoustically. So, it really was a no-brainer when he began his journey into the country music space.
While Staind’s concerts are a wall of sound packed with a punch, Aaron Lewis has been playing solo acoustic shows for years. So, making the transition wasn’t at all a stretch for him. In addition, because Lewis has so many fans, many of them came with him when he decided to switch things up.

Whether he is belting out the iconic It’s Been a While or one of his newer country anthems, there’s no denying that Aaron Lewis is at the top of his game. Coming up as a rock star, he certainly has that grit, and that unapologetic edge that makes his fans love him even more.
Of course, he generates controversy from time to time as well. At the end of the day, though, all that does is bolster ticket sales and make people want to listen to what he has to say. On top of that, he has found balance in his life, where he is able to release records and tour with Staind while also delivering high-quality country records.
Indeed, walking in two worlds and being successful in both is no easy task, but Aaron Lewis seems to do this with ease.
Country Boy Singer Drops New Single, Teases New Album
Aaron Lewis recently dropped a brand-new single ahead of his upcoming new album. The lead single off the new record is called Let’s Go Fishing. It’s the first song off of his upcoming record, The Hill. Indeed, it’s more than enough to get his fans hyped for the new songs on the way.
The new song from Aaron Lewis checks all the boxes for a true country ballad. Between the soothing acoustics and steel guitars, Lewis sings about a favorite pastime that many share, forgetting your troubles for an afternoon by going fishing.
Lewis said of the new album that the new record is “stripped down to the guts” and “raw”. So, it’s certainly in line with what his fans love to hear.
Many of Aaron’s fans agree that, with a voice like his, he could sing the phone book and still make it sound good. When it comes to his fresh new single, it’s ready for radio play right out of the gate. So, don’t be surprised to hear it in the months leading up to the full album drop on March 29.
