Brendan McLoughlin tells his wife Miranda Lambert the brutal truth, can she handle it?

Miranda Lambert is a controversial gal. Whether you love her or hate her though, there’s no denying the girl can sing. From classics like “Gunpowder and Lead” and “White Liar” to her newer stuff off her Palomino album (Carousel is lovely), she’s known as a Queen of Country for a reason. The 40-year-old singer just wrapped up a residency in Las Vegas, with a few more performances and dates to come, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. She had guests like Carrie Underwood on stage with her and debuted a new song with Lainey Wilson, which will be released hopefully this year! But where does she get inspiration for her songs? Maybe her love life?
In her lengthy career Miranda has had a lot of ups and downs with relationships.

Love Lost, Love Found
Besides her current husband, Ms. Lambert’s most famous relationship has probably been her marriage to country star Blake Shelton. They started dating in 2006 (after accusations of infidelity while he was still married to his first wife) and were married from 2011-2015 when they finally split after rumors of them both cheating. She quickly moved on to artist Anderson East, who she was with for two years, before she was found to be involved with married Oklahoma artist Evan Felker of the Turnpike Troubadours. They were only together a few months in 2018, and all the drama surrounding their relationship probably didn’t help.
In 2019 though, after a performance with the Pistol Annies on Good Morning America, she found the one (well, the one for now anyway). Brendan McLoughlin was a police officer working security for the show and got invited backstage by Miranda’s fellow bandmates (and security guard) and things took off from there. They married in 2019 and are still together. Miranda has shared why their relationship works and it’s a bit surprising for someone who says laws don’t apply to her.

According to Yahoo Entertainment’s article from USA Today, “My husband tells me the truth,” she told Hall in Tuesday’s episode. “He gives me harsh reality, and I love it.” She added, “Everybody needs somebody in their life like a truth-teller, and he’s very New York about it.”
Maybe being in a relationship with a non-celebrity will be the ticket for Miranda. It seems they are doing well, and it’s her longest marriage so far!
