Zach Bryan took to social media a while back, hinting at working with a famous actor from Texas for a music video that was going to be shot soon. All the teasing is now over. Bryan finally admitted to which Texas movie star would be starring in his music video. That actor is none other than the Academy Award-winning actor, Matthew McConaughey.
“Nine Ball” Music Video Is On Its Way
The music video starring McConaughey will be for Zach Bryan’s song, “Nine Ball.” The song was written by Bryan and produced by Eddie Spear. At the time of publication, the release date had yet to be announced.
The song is about a son and his gambler father. It reveals how the son wants a more normal relationship with his father who, in the song, is described as “a betting man.” It is unknown if Matthew McConaughey will be portraying the father or the son in this upcoming music video for Zach Bryan.

Not Matthew McConaughey’s First Music Video
Although Matthew McConaughey is now an Academy Award-winning actor, he won in 2013 for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, he has done a country music video in the past. This way back in the early 1990s, before his Hollywood career took off.
McConaughey had a role in the music video for “Walkaway Joe.” Not only was this at the start of his acting career, it was also at the start of Trisha Yearwood’s musical career. Long before she married Garth Brooks, Yearwood filmed a music video with McConaughey. Don Henley, famed for being part of the Eagles, sang with Yearwood and also appeared in the music video.
The Revealing Instagram Post From Zach Bryan
Zach Bryan posted the news about the “Nine Ball” music video on Instagram. In this post, he took the time to thank “every single cameraman and set hand” who participated in the making of the music video. He went on to praise the crew, saying “you’re all incredible.”
Seeing the music video for Zach Bryan’s “Nine Ball” has already been filmed, it might be safe to assume it could, possibly, be released soon. All the date has not yet been revealed, fans of Zach Bryan should be watching for it.
