Morgan Wallen had the most successful year of his career, but he won’t take home a Grammy trophy even if he wins. Why not? Keep reading to get all the details.
Grammy Weekend Begins
The Grammys are more than just the award show. Musicians of all genres gather for an entire weekend to celebrate the music industry. Country star Jelly Roll capped off his rise to fame by performing for legendary rock singer Jon Bon Jovi.
But the MusiCares event was just the start of the weekend. The highly anticipated 2024 Grammy Awards are set for Sunday, February 4.
The ceremony airs at 8 PM Eastern on CBS and streams on Paramount+. Trevor Noah will serve as host for the fourth year in a row.
Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Luke Combs, and Olivia Rodrigo are some of the scheduled performers.

Morgan Wallen Won’t Take Home Grammy Even If He Wins
Morgan Wallen has never won a Grammy. The singer was banned from the American Music Awards in 2021 after a video surfaced of him using a racial slur. Is he banned from the Grammys?
It’s unlikely that Morgan Wallen will attend the 2024 Grammys, but he’s not banned.
The country music genre as a whole was shut out of the main all-genre categories. Jelly Roll and the War and Treaty got nods for Best New Artist, but the LA Times reports that the other country artist nominations were “in country and adjacent genre categories.”
Morgan Wallen’s song “Last Night” did get nominated for Best Country Song, but he still won’t win a trophy even if the song does. Why not?
The Best Song Grammy goes to the songwriters, not the artist. According to Forbes, the song was written by John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindin, and Ryan Vojtesak.
Morgan Wallen Teases New Music
Morgan Wallen embarked on a worldwide tour in 2023. His One Night At A Time tour was a huge success. But now the singer is ready for what comes next.

He’s fighting to prevent the release of his older music and focusing on writing and releasing new music. Morgan Wallen teased fans with a new collab with Post Malone. However, the song has since been removed from his social media after the overwhelmingly negative reaction.
The “Wasted On You” singer also made a surprising career move by teaming up with Eric Church to purchase the country living magazine Field & Stream. The duo plans to revive the magazine’s print edition, expand its merchandise line, and create a music festival in its name.
Did you know that the singer doesn’t take home the Grammy trophy in the Best Song category? Do you think Morgan Wallen was snubbed this year? Sound off in the comments.
