Morgan Wallen will not be going to the Grammy award show tonight. There are several reasons being floated around as to why the “Thought You Should Know” singer will not be in attending one of the music industry’s bigget nights. One appears to be quite obvious and the other is a bit more subtle.
Morgan Wallen Was Not Nominated
The fact that country music star Morgan Wallen was not nominated this year for a Grammy could explain why he won’t be attending the awards shows which airs tonight. Despite the great year the “Cover Me Up” singer has had, the Grammys failed to recognize his hard work (and great music) with a nomination. If artists are not nominated, they do not always appear at the awards show.
Morgan Wallen has had quite the year in 2023, despite the fact the Grammys overlooked his work. This talented singer had the number one album in all genres this year with “One Thing At A Time.” His song, “Last Night,” was the number one song in all genres. Wallen also had the highest-grossing tour of 2023. He also won the ACM award for Album of the Year. They seem like great reasons Wallen should have been nominated for, at least, one Grammy.
His song “Last Night” was nominated, though. The thing is it was nominated for Best Country Song and this would go to the writers if he won. Wallen wouldn’t actually get the award or need to be there to accept it.
Morgan Snubbed By The Grammys?
There is another reason floating around the music industry as to why Morgan Wallen may have been snubbed by the Grammys for 2024. It could be due to his racist comments the “Somebody’s Problem” singer made three years ago.
Those who cast votes for Grammy nominations are denying it is due to Morgan Wallen’s past racial comments. They have stated those comments had nothing to do with them failing to nominate him for a Grammy. Despite their denials, it still seems plausible why a country music star who has had such a great year would be snubbed and get a single Grammy nomination.

Fans of both country music and Morgan Wallen know it isn’t them who vote for the artists, songs and albums to get Grammy nominations. If it was, the “Wasted On You” singer would have been nominated. Those fans also know, when you have had a year like Morgan Wallen has had, there should have been at least one nomination for all his hard work in 2023.
