Gwen Stefani Has Reinvented Herself More Than Once

Gwen Stefani has reinvented herself more than once over the course of a career that spans decades. Not only did she change her sound, but, she also changed her look in drastic ways. She rose to prominence fronting No Doubt in the late 80s, catapulting them to superstardom by the mid-90s.

Her style was edgy, grungy, and fitting of the time. There were a lot of bright colors, wild makeup, and crazy hairstyles to go along with her alternative rocker chick vibe. However, she didn’t stop there.

Stefani Changed Things Up As A Solo Act And Beyond

By the time Gwen Stefani launched her solo career in the early 2000s, it was a major departure from what fans were used to hearing from her. She softened her edges and leaned more into pop sounds. Just like her changing musical style, her clothing and overall aesthetic changed with it.

Gwen Stefani has never admitted to it publicly, but, many of her fans suspect she has gone under the knife to get cosmetic work done. Fans agree that she looks completely different now at 54 than she looked in the early 90s as No Doubt climbed the top of the charts. With so much talk about her changing appearance being a regular point of conversation among fans, Gwen Stefani recently shared a rare throwback pic, showing her younger self in a way that most people have never seen her before.

Gwen Stefani recently wished her younger brother, Todd Stefani, a happy birthday. She also included an old pic of her holding her younger brother when he was a baby. With how viewers and listeners are used to seeing Gwen these days, most people don’t recognize her.

She certainly didn’t have the platinum blonde hair that she does now, as she is a natural brunette. Since she was a young girl in the pic, she also didn’t have all the makeup and other touchups that listeners expect from her now. So, even though it was supposed to be a birthday message for her younger brother, this throwback pic has given people a lot more to talk about than that.
