It did not take a conversation for radio broadcasters for the two country music superstars to see how their early careers paralleled each others. They both had similar ups and downs. The two megastars struggled for years to get to the top.

Lainey Wilson And Trisha Yearwood’s Radio Experiences
Lainey Wilson shared one of earlier experiences with country music radio. “You should have left your guitar in the car because I don’t want to hear you play. He leans across his desk, and he said, ‘Lainey, you’re just not that good.’ And I leaned across his desk, and I said, “So-and-so … out of the 10 years that I’ve been in Nashville, you telling me that don’t mean s—.’”
“I just sort of snapped,” Trisha Yearwood said. She continued, explaining an experience she had with country music radio. “I said, ‘I can’t believe that you asked me that question. And you’re the reason that people know about this story that wouldn’t even know about it, and shame on you.’ I left. And I’ve never done anything like that!” Perhaps with a little edginess she learned from her husband, Garth Brooks, Yearwood added, “I’m pretty easygoing, although now that I’m 59, I’ll not take your s—.”
These two definitely have a lot in common. The two successful country music recording artists even swear the same!
Lainey Wilson and Trisha Yearwood’s Drive For Success
Both of these beautifully talented singers have the same drive for successful. Neither one of them ever thought about giving up on their country music dreams.
“It’s the only thing I really know how to do,” Lainey Wilson admitted. “This is my only option. There’s definitely times where I should have been like, all right, pack it up and go back home. But I’m hardheaded and maybe a little psycho, too, I guess you kind of gotta be.”
“There’s no part of me ever that has ever thought that I would not want to do this,” Trisha Yearwood explained. “I am a singer first. … I always say I was ‘called.’ It feeds my soul. I’ll stop when I can’t sing anymore, but I won’t stop till then.”
