Two of the biggest country groups in the business, Sugarland and Little Big Town, just teased a major collaboration that both fan bases are sure to love. What do we know so far about this team-up featuring two of the biggest acts in the genre?
Jennifer Nettles Has Been Busy Playing Matchmaker
With Sugarland playing their last concert in 2020, Jennifer Nettles has found a variety of ways to stay busy. One way that fans can see her is by tuning into the hit matchmaking show Farmer Wants A Wife. The show that matches potential wives with their farmer husbands is in the middle of its second season on Fox, and Jennifer Nettles has fittingly taken on hosting duties.
The country duo also previously took a hiatus that lasted years. Their last album was the release of Bigger in 2018. Their release before that was The Incredible Machine in 2010. It’s safe to say that longtime Sugarland fans have been itching for more from the popular duo.
Little Big Town Have Been At It A Long Time
Little Big Town released their debut all the way back in 2002. However, it wasn’t until 2012 that they scored their first number-one hit, Pontoon. This band is a classic example of a group of musicians that kept at it, and kept improving their craft, until they eventually found their stride.
There have been some iconic country groups over the years, including the likes of Rascal Flatts, Big & Rich, and more. Little Big Town has cemented their place as part of that conversation, and they continue to make new fans with each new record they put out.
Sugarland And Little Big Town Set To Reunite For Special Performance
The good news for fans of both groups is that Sugarland and Little Big Town will both take the stage for a performance at the 2024 CMT Awards. This will be the first time since 2013 that both groups have shared the stage, so, it will be a big moment when it happens.
This upcoming collaboration will also mark Sugarland’s first CMT performance since 2011. Other big-name performers set to take the stage at this year’s event include Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, and more. So, this is already a loaded bill to look forward to.
