What do you do after you’re arrested for allegedly throwing a chair at police from a rooftop bar? If you’re Morgan Wallen, you open your own bar, of course. The country star is set to open his own bar in Nashville. So, what do we know about the plans so far?
Morgan Wallen Has Done More Than Succeed In Music
Wallen has been topping the charts for years as a successful artist. When you reach the level of fame and influence that Wallen has, you can afford to branch out into other things and explore other business ventures. The path was paved by many successful country artists who made the transition to business mogul.
One example from Morgan Wallen is his partnership with Ryl Tea. Wallen partnered with the drink brand to create his own, signature sweet tea. Given everything he sings about, it makes sense for Morgan Wallen to have a sweet tea.
Wasted On You Singer To Open Nashville Bar
Like Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean before him, Morgan Wallen has his sights set on opening his very own Nashville bar. According to what we know so far, the Whiskey Glasses singer wants to open a six-story bar, called appropriately, This Bar.
This Bar in question is slated to open this summer, offering patrons a unique experience, including a full bar and kitchen. Morgan Wallen partnered with TC Restaurant Group to make his vision a reality in the Lower Broadway district.
Wallen Drunken Arrest A PR Slam Dunk?
Morgan Wallen’s bar plans are moving forward as scheduled even after the singer was arrested for allegedly throwing a chair at police from another rooftop bar in Nashville. The way a lot of people see it, Wallen’s recent drunken arrest will likely help his new business venture more than hurt it.
Wallen has marketed himself as a hard-drinking, hard-partying rebel. So, there’s even more interest in his bar venture following his recent charges. Those charges include three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
According to Doug Eldridge, a public relations expert, he said that Wallen’s recent arrest will more than likely “drive more business.”
Eldridge went on to say: “Wallen’s image is largely tied to a rowdy, hard-singing, harder drinking good ‘ol boy. An arrest for an incident like this, which presumably came at the end of a night of partying, will arguably drive even more traffic to his bar.”
In many ways, the PR expert has a point. This recent arrest will only bolster Wallen’s existing bad-boy image. Which will only drum up more interest to check out his bar when it eventually opens this summer.
