Reba McEntire shared a huge update with fans that not only is she hosting the 2024 ACM Awards, she has a surprise in store. Keep reading for all the details.
Reba McEntire Returns As ACM Host
Reba McEntire really is the hostess with the mostest. She continues her already-packed schedule with a return to hosting the ACM Awards. This year will mark her 17th time as host of the Academy of Country Music Awards. She first hosted back in 1986.
The “Fancy” singer has won 16 ACM Awards and according to PEOPLE magazine, holds the record for most nominations by a female artist. Reba said in a statement that she was “tickled to pieces” to host again.
Despite her super star status, she continues to hustle as a coach on The Voice, filming her upcoming NBC sitcom and now hosting the ACMs. She also has a surprise planned for viewers.
Has Special Treat In Store For Fans
In 2023, Reba McEntire released the album Not That Fancy that featured acoustic versions of some of her biggest hits. The album also included the new song “Seven Minutes In Heaven.”
The legendary artist didn’t receive any nominations for the 2024 ACM Awards but she will be taking the stage anyway. In addition to hosting, Reba McEntire will perform new music during the show.

How To Watch 2024 ACM Awards
Luke Combs leads the nominees with eight nods, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year. Embattled singer Morgan Wallen and newcomer Megan Moroney have six nominations each.
Popular artist and first-time nominee Jelly Roll has four nominations, including Entertainer of the Year. Aside from Reba McEntire, performers have yet to be revealed. She told Entertainment Tonight that she would love to perform with Bruno Mars.
The ceremony will air live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards take place on Thursday, May 16 at 8 PM Eastern. Country music fans can watch live exclusively on Amazon Prime.

The ceremony will be available to watch the next day on Amazon FreeVee and the Amazon Music app. According to Billboard, fans interested in attending the event can check out the limited number of tickets left on SeatGeek.
