Jelly Roll is sharing his goal of running a half marathon. This comes on the heels of his successful 5K which totally transformed his body and his mind. So, how is he getting ready for this next mission in his life? Keep reading to see what Jelly has to say about his new venture.

Jelly Roll Shares Goal Of Running Half Marathon

It was a big deal for Jelly Roll to share that he was embarking on his first 5K. Though he did not think he would actually run it, he was still prepping as hard as he could. All of his hard work and training paid off as the performer dropped around seventy pounds. This was a huge deal for him as he had been the victim of cyberbullying and even left the Internet. His wife, Bunnie XO had jumped to his defense and has even noted what a healthy eater he is. Still, people are cruel and think that they can say whatever they want about him.

After he completed the first 5K, Jelly knew that he was not done with them and was going to continue running them. More so, he had started to set even more weight loss goals for himself after this. He shared he wanted to lose another hundred pounds before his Beautifully Broken Tour begins at the end of August 2024. It looks like that is a real possibility as wants to do a half marathon, according to Us Weekly.

“I’m training as you can train, it’s an 18-month process. I want to do another couple 5Ks first, so the goal is to [run a] half marathon next fall.”

Jelly loved his first 5K so much that it has just propelled him to do more and further, saying it was “incredible”:

“I also had the luxury of doing it with friends and family. My whole crew came out to support me. It was, like, really, really cool, man.”

Bunnie XO was by his side for his first 5K which helped him cross that finish line as was comedian Bert Kreischer. They helped to make it the best experience, clearly, one he wants to keep repeating.

Preparation Is Key

For Jelly Roll, preparation is key. He did a lot to get ready for his first 5K and it involved working out several days a week as well as plunges:

“I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day.”

He also continued to eat really well, as Bunnie XO always said was not an issue for him to begin with. Now, he says he has about eighteen months to train. Then, by Fall 2025, he will be hopefully doing a half marathon.
