Morgan Wallen Cancels Shows Due To Health Concerns

In a move that has left fans reeling, country music sensation Morgan Wallen announced the cancellation of several upcoming shows. The news, which broke just hours before he was scheduled to take the stage in Tampa, Florida, has left thousands of ticket holders wondering what’s next.

The canceled shows, which included dates in Tampa and Charlotte, North Carolina, were highly anticipated events many fans had been looking forward to for months. Ticket holders took to social media to express their disappointment and concern for the young artist’s well-being.

Morgan Wallen took to his Twitter on Friday, July 12, to express regret over canceling that night’s show in the Southern Florida city and two shows scheduled for July 18 and 19 in Charlotte. He revealed that he didn’t perform at his best during the previous night’s show in Tampa. He wrote that he powered through that show but felt even worse health-wise.

The “Whiskey Glasses” singer didn’t go into detail about why he was feeling ill. However, he did update fans that the three canceled shows had already been rescheduled for October. Morgan Wallen will make up the missed tour date in Tampa on October 4. The two shows in Charlotte moved to October  18 and 19.

The tour change came just a week after he fell off the stage during his performance at England’s Hyde Park. The singer has also had a problem recently with concertgoers tossing things at him from the crowd.

Singer Hires New Manager

Morgan Wallen seemingly deleted his Instagram account last month, sparking rumors of a feud with his record label. He’s signed to Big Loud, whose long list of artists includes Miranda Lambert. According to multiple reports, Wallen quietly changed his management team recently. His longtime agent, Austin Neal, took over management duties. It’s also reported that Wallen and Neal are launching a new management firm, and the singer is the firm’s only client so far.

Despite changing managers, Morgan Wallen is still under contract with Big Loud. The record label briefly suspended the singer after he was caught using the n-word in 2021.

Hopefully, Morgan Wallen will feel up to resuming his tour later this month.
