Brantley Gilbert Almost Lost His Wife
Brantley Gilbert met his wife when he was doing community service for a church. His wife, Amber, and her family went to the church. He saw her one day and knew there was something special about her. However, he was addicted to alcohol. He revealed that he would not drink when he was around her. However, he got drunk the second he dropped her off. She realized this and let him know she could not be with someone who had those tendencies. So, they broke up and did not speak or see each other for seven years.
They Found Their Way Back To Each Other
Brantley Gilbert has revealed how he and his wife reconnected.
“I got a call one night from my cousin, the guy that was the youth pastor, and he said, ‘Man, there’s somebody you know from back in the day that’s going through some things. And since she heard you were sober … If you wouldn’t mind saying hello, if you’ve had the time this week, she’ll be around the house all week,’ “But it wasn’t that at all… I just remember sitting in Doug’s driveway going, ‘Single for life, single for life, no matter what. No matter what she looks like, no matter what she’s going through, don’t get sucked in,’ She walked around the corner and all that s— flew out the window. It was done, dude. I remember like she walked up… and she really was going through a really tough time in her life. I remember seeing her and it wasn’t no handshake. We really didn’t say anything. I just opened my arms and she kind of just fell in and I kissed her on the forehead and said, ‘I got you.'”
Fans admire their story and how open and honest Brantley was. Amber and Brantley fou9nd their way back to each other. They are now expecting their third child. Fans could not be happier for them.
It seems as though Brantley and his wife would not be together if he still drank. This is something he had to quit for himself though. However, it made him realize that he needed to quit drinking. Once she found out he was sober, she knew she wanted to be with him. Fans are happy that they found their way back to each other after seven years of not speaking.
