Chase Stokes’ Mom Listens To Kelsea Ballerini

Chase recently explained how his mother Jennifer Canning figured out that the woman in his life is a famous singer. According to him,  he was visiting his mom at her house and walked in on her listening to Kelsea’s music.

He was shocked out of his mind, and after seeing his surprise, his mom slowly began recognizing that it wasn’t just a random singer on the speaker.

“My mom heard me and she goes, ‘Is that her?’ And I was like, ‘Yep, yeah, that’s the girl I told you I was kind of talking to. It’s weird that you’re listening to her at your house. And it’s almost been two years [of dating] now,” Stokes said.

He hasn’t shared if his father Jeff Stokes is aware of Kelsea’s successful music career.

Chase & Kelsea’s Relationship Timeline

Kelsea finalized her divorce from her now ex-husband and fellow singer Morgan Evans back in November 2022. A few weeks later, she was seen out with Chase.

It was confirmed in March 2023 that the two stars were officially in a relationship together. This marked Stokes’ first public romance since he dated his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline.

It’s also important to note that both of their previous relationships didn’t end in a civil way. After his separation from Kelsea, Morgan released a song titled “Over For You” that implied that he was completely blindsided from her divorce filing.

When it comes to Chase’s relationship with Madelyn, it ended in an intense cheating scandal. Specifically, Stokes was seen getting cozy with another woman before it was publicly announced that he and Madelyn had called it quits. However, neither one of them spoke out about the situation and still work together on the Netflix series..

Is Their Relationship A PR Stunt?

When it comes to relationships like this when both people involved are famous, the couple is either applauded or frowned upon. When it comes to Chase and Kelsea, it’s more so the latter.

In a Reddit thread, people have shared their honest thoughts on their romance right when it was announced that the two were seeing each other.

Most didn’t seem to be onboard with the two being together. In fact, some were claiming that it’s less of a genuine relationship and more of a scheme to benefit their individual careers. Here are a few of the comments:
