Jelly Roll has millions of fans worldwide. He can count a famous ’70s sitcom star as one of the biggest fans. The former convict had shared a wholesome video message to the TV icon after receiving a fan letter. Keep reading for all the details.
’70’s Sitcom Star Sends Fan Mail To Jelly Roll
A lot of actors hate being identified by just one role they played. But Henry Winkler embraces his fame as The Fonz. He played Arthur ‘Fonzie’ Fonzarelli on Happy Days for the sitcom’s entire run. The show aired from 1974 until 1984, but is still popular today.
The Fonz was the epitome of the cool guy with his motorcyle, leather jacket and iconic two-thumps-up gesture with an”AYYYYYY!” Who didn’t want to be as cool as Fonzie?
Henry Winkler has starred in many movies and shows since then, but he’ll forever be known as The Fonz. The actor was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month. He revealed that he’s a huge fan of Jelly Roll and even sent the country singer a letter.
“I think he is so filled with emotion,” he said of the “Save Me” singer.
Jelly Roll’s Wholesome Video Response
Henry Winkler chatted with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on their daytime talk show a few days ago. It turned out that Kelly Ripa got word to Jelly Roll about the fan letter from the iconic actor. The country singer recorded a video response to share with the Happy Days actor.
While telling Kelly Ripa about writing the letter, Henry Winkler revealed the most adorable detail: He calls Jelly Roll “Mr. Roll.” Kelly Ripa shared the wholesome video from the “Need a Favor” singer. He politely addressed the actor as “Mr. Winkler” and thanked him for the letter. He said that his publicist verified that the fan mail actually was from the actor.

Jelly Roll was honored to receive the note and revealed that he framed it and hung it on his wall with other special memorabilia that included hand-written lyrics from Craig Morgan. He added that he hoped to meet Henry Winkler in person someday, but warned him that he would give him a big hug because he’s a hugger.
