Kacey Musgraves Went Home To Celebrate Christmas 2024
As most people do during the Christmas season, Kacey Musgraves went back home to Texas to celebrate with family. This is the time of year for spending time with loved ones and catching up, especially for someone like Musgraves, who is often busy with touring and other aspects of being a famous musician.
Like many other country artists, Musgraves shared updates when she was back home with her family. While this is generally a joyous time that people look forward to every year, there was something that Kacey shared that instantly made her heart heavy, as she prepares for a devastating loss.
Singer Braces For Inevitable Loss
The thing that made Kacey Musgraves incredibly sad (and with good reason), was the fact that the family dog is nearing the time when all dogs have to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
Expressing her sadness over the fact that the family pet does not have much longer, Musgraves said: “Been sad over here pre-grieving the loss of my Pearl Girl the last couple of days.”
Whether you’re a regular person or a famous celebrity like Musgraves is, the loss of a beloved pet and family member hits just as hard, and even though her “Pearl Girl” is still around, Musgraves knows that things are nearing the inevitable end, and that certainly does not make things any easier.
Kacey Musgraves Shares Lengthy Tribute Honoring Fur Baby
Kacey Musgraves shared a lengthy update honoring her Pearl, including many sweet words and a pic of her furry family member. Musgraves said of her Pearl: “She is still hanging on but is very near the end. She’s survived quite a lot in her 15 years. She came to me the day after my 21st bday and has seen me thru so many chapters.”
Musgraves continued, adding: “When she became a tripod my parents kindly took her in because she was no longer suited for the road life and they have loved her completely as their own. My dad especially took a liking to her. She’s his best friend.”
The singer said: “The bond we form with these creatures is such a blessing..but a ticking time bomb. An inevitable continuous deposit into a bank of future sadness. So painful but so worth it.”
