Country superstar and family man, Thomas Rhett is showing off a face tattoo that he got to honor his wife, Lauren. As special and sweet as this may be, many fans cannot help but wonder if it is a permanent gesture or just temporary. Thomas Rhett Shows Off Face Tattoo Honoring Wife
It is a really sweet love story between Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins. They met in elementary school but it was in sixth grade that Thomas knew she was the one. It did not matter if the feeling was reciprocated by Lauren or not, that was to be his wife. They went on to date in high school but that only lasted for about six months. Luckily, that translated into an amazing friendship, and in 2011, they decided that they would see if they could make love work.
Clearly, they did as they tied the knot the following year and have been happily wed for nearly thirteen years. Along the way, the couple welcomed four children. Their first daughter, Willa, was born in Uganda in 2015 but the couple did not adopt her until 2017. That same year, Lauren gave birth to daughter, Ada, and, in 2020, another baby sister, Lennon, followed. Thomas and Lauren then welcomed Lillie in 2021. They have created this amazing pod filled with love so Thomas figured he would celebrate his wife the best way he knew how.

Thomas took to his Instagram to show him getting Lauren’s name tattooed on his face. His song, “After All The Bars Are Closed” is playing overhead and he is singing along. He had recently realized that almost all of the songs on his latest album were about his wife:
Every single one of these tracks is about my relationship with my wife from all over the spectrum. There’s a couple from being 16 and a couple from being 19 and a couple from being 25 and a couple from being where we are now. And there’s also a couple that are very future-leaning kind of love songs.
So, this was the perfect dedication to her but the biggest question is if it was real. So many of his fellow performers like Post Malone and Jelly Roll have prominent facial tattoos. Did he join in on the trend?
Is It Real?
After seeing this clip, Thomas Rhett fans needed to know if he had actually gotten a tattoo on his face or if it was fake. They immediately headed to the comment section to seek out answers:

It was soon cleared up and it was not a real tattoo and just for the clip and content:
