Hank Williams Jr Plots Summer Tour With Kid Rock
Hank Williams Jr. released his first single, “Long Gone Lonesome Blues,” over sixty years ago. He was just fourteen at the time. It was part of his first album, which was covers of some of his father’s biggest hits. Hank Williams Sr. passed away in 1953 of a heart attack.
His only son has more than made a name for himself in the country music industry. Hank Williams Jr. has released over 50 albums, including Old But Gold Country in 2024. The singer constantly tours. He is slated to team up with Kid Rock this summer for the Rock The Country and Rock The South tours.

Country Music Icon Shows Off Moves At 75
Hank Williams Jr. is 75, but he’s lived a million different lives. In 2023, he unexpectedly announced that he married Brandi Williams in a private ceremony after proposing just one day earlier. The wedding seemed quick, but the couple are still together.
Nearly fifty years ago, he fell off a mountain in Montana that resulted in over 15 surgeries and years of recovery. That was just one of many incidents that nearly cost the singer his life.
Fans at a recent tour stop were shocked by the singer’s on stage antics. During his performance of “Weatherman,” Hank Williams Jr. made it clear that age really is just a number.
He dropped to a squat in the middle of the song and mimicked revving a motorcycle. More impressive was that he popped back up to a standing position like it was nothing.
Fans of the singer took to the comments on the TikTok video in awe.
- “The fact that he can do this is a HUGE flex at his age. Hip mobility and back strength go quick as we age. This shows incredible muscle strength and great health actually.”
- “He’s gotta stay spry because all his rowdy friends are comin over tonight! Lol”
- “saw him a year ago. I was blown away at how good he still is!”
- “No one does it like him… it was the most surprised I’ve been at a concert TBH”
- “Meanwhile I squatted down to put my toddlers shoes on today and when my knees popped he told me I had an ouchie”
- “I’m impressed..He’s got almost 20 years on me and there’s no way I could do that!”
- “The man, the myth and the legend”

“All My Rowdy Friends” Singer Joining Dancing With The Stars?
With that kind of mobility at his age, Hank Williams Jr. should consider joining Dancing With The Stars. The ABC dance competition pairs celebrities with professional dancers. The celebrities perform dance routines each week. The one who scores votes from fans plus their scoring from the judges wins the Mirror Ball trophy.
The show always features at least one older celebrity. Many of them don’t last long, but Hank Williams Jr. clearly has the moves of someone much younger.
Did it surprise you that he dropped it low?
