Country superstar Trace Adkins is opening up about his “truth,” while celebrating a huge milestone in his life. He has been through many highs and lows in his sixty-three years. So, what has the Sarepta, Louisiana native bouncing for joy? Keep reading for all of the exciting details.
Trace Adkins Shares His ‘Truth’
It is hard to be completely honest when you’re always under a microscope. Celebrities deal with this every single day, and it is a part of being famous. Trace Adkins understands this all too well, as his career began in 1996 and he has not slowed down. He has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards as well as other high honors, and continued to top the charts. However, he had some demons that he was fighting, which prevented him from living his life to the absolute fullest.
The beloved actor and father of five daughters, Tarah, Sarah, Mackenzie, Brianna, and Trinity, recently revealed something major. He admitted that he is now 300 days sober, which is nearly one full year, and that is a massive milestone. For anyone who has battled addiction, they know that it can overtake one’s life. Trace has been in rehab before, but it did not work, and that is okay. He just shared this very candid post, and it was extremely eye-opening:
- My name is Trace Adkins, and this is my truth: 63 years old. Living in Nashville. I’m a country music singer. I spent 6 years drowning in addiction… Carrying pain I didn’t know how to put down. But today I’m 300 days sober. ❤️🩹 Still healing. Still trying. Still here. ✨
Trace also added two photos of himself and seemed very proud of how far he had come. Immediately, his fans and followers chimed in with words of support and celebration. They were so proud of the country superstar for his 300 days and for opening up about his addiction. Yet, he has been a part of many philanthropic projects, so he long been celebrated.
What A Great Achievement
Trace Adkins’ fans loved learning more about him and how far he had come in his life. No matter how long he had been sober, it was still a milestone that deserved recognition. Some even had relatable stories that they could not wait to share:
