Darius Rucker Is Deep In Mourning
Fans have known Darius Rucker and his music for decades, from Hootie & the Blowfish to his solo country art. He is a favorite and recently revealed that he will be hanging up his hat in the very near future. That has broken many hearts, as he is still a hot ticket and many want to ensure that they can see him before he is done. Unfortunately, he is now sharing that someone close to him has had their time end too soon, and it has left a hole in Darius’ heart. He broke the news about a day ago by paying tribute to a life-changing confidante.
On his social media, Darius shared a photo of a man named Buddy. He was Darius’ bodyguard and so much more. Alongside the photo, the performer revealed that Buddy had passed, but he was so much more than a bodyguard. Darius Rucker penned a sweet tribute, even referring to him as a “brother”:
- Buddy was my friend, my brother, my bodyguard, my best friend, and when I needed him to be, he was my therapist. I love u Buddy. Thank u for changing my life.
In the comments, Buddy’s daughter thanked Darius for his post and for letting the world know what an amazing person her father was. She tagged her brother, and upon clicking on his Instagram, he had a snap of his father in the hospital. It was clear how important Buddy was to everyone he met, knew, and touched.
