Cher says Kelly Clarkson “aced” her Kellyoke cover of “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” “I Just Lost My Mind.”
The country music star earned Cher’s approval after she put a fresh spin on her festive new single during Tuesday’s episode of, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Cher Shows Praise For Kelly Clarkson
Cher has nothing but praise to show for Kelly’s spin on her new music.
The “Red Flag Collector,” 41, took on one of Cher’s songs from her first holiday album, Christmas. This was on Tuesday’s edition of Kellyoke on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Kelly delivered a beautiful and soulful performance of “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” which displayed her powerhouse vocals over a glittery beat.
She belted, “DJ, play a Christmas song / I wanna be dancing all night long / It’s cold outside, but it’s warm in here / And that’s the only thing I want this year.”
She exclaimed, “I love this song!” when she concluded the set.
The Goddess of Pop, Cher, 77, took to X (formerly known as Twitter), and expressed how much she loved Kelly’s take on her festive track.
Cher Wrote, “KELLY,,,,U ACED IT ! ! U GOT THE GIRL.VERSION OF MY VOICE BABE,I AM OUT OF MY MIND OVER UR VERSION..THE MODULATION GAVE ME …I DON’T KNOW, I JUST LOST MY MIND ! ! SISTER U GOT IT.”

The Following Day
The day after Cher posted giving Kelly praise, Kelly took to social media herself and responded to her message, “Girl, you gave us the greatest gift this Christmas with this song! Thank you for letting me sing it. “I love you so much, and you made my year with your post!”
In Kelly’s latest Kellyoke performance, it wasn’t the first time she’s showed love for “DJ Play a Christmas Song.” The Grammy winner, jammed out to the track while hosting NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center late last month when Cher performed it for the crowd.
“Oh my gosh, you guys,” Kelly excitedly said, during the broadcast. “Cher just — she put out a Christmas jam, y’all! That song is so good! That is my favorite song in a very long time!”

Kelly Teamed Up With Wynonna Judd
The “Underneath the Tree” performer, has been embracing the holiday spirit. She teamed up with Wynonna Judd on December 7 during NBC’s Christmas at the Opry. Their performance was a rocking rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
The pair was backed by a full band, and they took turns belting out the lyrics before they joined forces on the chorus. Kelly wore a sparkling green dress and Wynonna, 59, was dressed in a black suit with golden lapels.
The holiday special included on-stage performances by, BRELAND, Brenda Lee, Chrissy Metz, Adam Doleac, Meghan Patrick, Mickey Button, Lauren Alaina, Chris Janson, Mitchell Tenpenny and Trace Adkins.
