Thomas Rhett And Lauren Akins
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins met when they were in the first grade. The two were high school sweethearts and stayed with each other all throughout their lives. Not many people can say the same. The two of them have been inseparable. Lauren and Thomas share four children. Fans have loved watching them together. Thomas has written several songs about Lauren and their love journey. Fans look up to their relationship. However, he is not afraid to admit that they have had hard times like every other couple. They are not perfect.
How He Balances It All
Thomas Rhett opened up about how he balances his marriage, family, and career. Fans love that he is being so honest.
“We were becoming famous at arguably the hardest moment in our personal lives. Adopting [Willa Gray] and getting pregnant at the same time while having to be in Uganda for a year with me traveling back and forth was so challenging. I’d go to Uganda and be husband and dad, and then go to America and be like, “OK, shows and music.” I was internally imploding, and so was Lauren. We’d both come to these breaking points [feeling like] something has to give. It was not a fun time in our marriage. Giving up was not an option. That thought has never crossed my mind or Lauren’s. With me being a fixer and Lauren being stubborn, we made it work. The easiest thing to do is quit. But when you don’t and you keep grinding it out, you’ll inevitably become stronger.”
They went through times in their marriage where they were struggling. However, they have both been open about it and hope that it helps other couples stick it out. Thomas Rhett is a fan favorite artist. He recently came out with a new album that fans love.
It seems that Thomas really has to prioritize his family. They have gone through hard times before. However, he feels as though they know how to handle those situations in the future now.
