Morgan Wallen will face the judge soon on felony charges. Sources say the singer will likely face jail time; how much? Keep reading for all the details.

Morgan Wallen Arrest Recap

A lot has happened in the months since Morgan Wallen was arrested on multiple felony charges. In case you need your memory jogged, here’s a breakdown of what happened. He was reportedly intoxicated at Eric Church’s Nashville bar, Chief’s, on April 7. In the early morning hours of April 8, he was arrested after tossing a chair from the bar’s roof. Unfortunately for the singer, it landed meters away from two police officers on Broadway in downtown Nashville.

The singer was allegedly upset after reading news reports that his ex was in a new relationship.

He was arrested on three felony charges: reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon (the chair) and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. He was released from jail a few hours later after posting the $15k bail.

Morgan Wallen publicly apologized for his behavior nearly two weeks after his arrest. He said he waited to speak out because he had to make amends in private to certain people.

Singer Facing Jail Time, But How Much?

Morgan Wallen was originally scheduled to face the charges in August. However, he was granted an extension so he could continue his sold-out tour, which ends in October. He will return to court in December to find out his sentence for the felony charges. But it’s not looking good for the singer.

A source spilled to Life & Style that the singer’s legal team is trying to work out a deal for probation and a fine with no jail time. The felony charges typically come with a sentence up to six years in prison. “It’s looking bleak at this point. He’s likely to spend time behind bars.”

Morgan Wallen is unlikely to receive a harsh sentence. The insider speculated that the “One Night at a Time” singer is looking at 30 to 60 days in jail.

“I don’t think the prosecutors want him to skate away with no time because people will think it’s because of his celebrity status.”

One reason why Morgan Wallen wants to avoid a felony conviction is it will make it difficult to tour internationally. Jelly Roll recently faced a similar problem when trying to take his tour overseas.

His next court date is on Thursday, December 12. Do you think Morgan Wallen will get jail time or a slap on the wrist?
