Zach Bryan started dating podcast Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia in July 2023 after meeting at the Academy of Country Music Awards two months earlier. Their relationship became serious quickly, with the Barstool Sports podcaster joining the singer on his tour and moving into his home.
In early October 2024, LaPaglia denied rumors of trouble in paradise. But Zach Bryan publicly confirmed that he was single later that month after he was spotted on dating apps. He turned his attention back to his career with a major concert announcement. But his ex has been blasting their personal business and made some serious allegations about emotional and physical abuse. So, why is her latest advice confusing fans?
Zach Bryan’s Ex, Brianna’s Latest Advice Has Fans Scratching Heads
Zach Bryan wrote the song “28” for Brianna LaPaglia when they were together. The song became a massive hit and legions of fans had the lyrics “How lucky are we” tattooed on them. Many of the popular podcaster’s fans expressed plans to get the ink removed to show her their support amid the abuse allegations. However, Brianna LaPaglia encouraged them not to during a recent BFFs podcast.
Confused Zach Bryan fans took to Reddit for an explanation on why she would want her fans to have her ex’s lyrics on them. “I understand it was a tattoo on her first before Zach wrote the song, but I’m confused w the intentions of now thousands of ppl online getting it? I’m super lost,” the OP wrote on Reddit.
According to one fan, LaPaglia said on the podcast episode that the tattoo is her thing, not Zach’s. She also reposted photos from fans on social media getting the lyrics tattooed.
According to another person following the drama, Brianna LaPaglia had the tattoo before she even met Zach Bryan and he used her tattoo as part of his lyrics. She reportedly got the “How lucky are we” tattoo with an entire group of her close friends.
Another Zach Bryan fan explained, “Bri’s fans are supporting her and standing up against abusive relationships by getting the same tattoo. It’s weird and parasocial if we’re being honest (the tattoo part).”
