Country music singer Tim McGraw had surgery on both knees in 2024 after suffering an injury on stage. His recovery is going well, but he needs more surgery on his back. The singer looked totally different in a rare outing. Stay on this page to see the photos.
Tim McGraw Loses Netflix Show After Injury
Tim McGraw had several minor movie roles before starring in the Paramount+ Yellowstone sequel 1883 alongside his wife, Faith Hill. Unfortunately for viewers, the show was a limited series and ended after just one season. McGraw was in talks to star in a rodeo-centric show for Netflix.
However, plans for the show were canceled after he suffered a painful injury. In August 2024, he went under the knife for surgery on both knees. He had to cancel the rest of his tour dates.
The surgery was a success but it wasn’t the end of his health struggles. In addition to hurting his knees, he also suffered a back injury that left him unable to film for the Netflix show.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have been married since 1996. She was by his side during his recovery from surgery. The “Wild One” singer was also at her husband’s side during a date night at the Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The couple had a very special reason for attending a production of John Monsky’s The Great War & The Great Gatsby. Their daughter, Gracie, was among the cast. She made her off-Broadway debut last fall in Babe. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have two other daughters, Maggie and Audrey.
According to the Carnegie Hall website, the show is a “one-of-a-kind multimedia event by historian John Monsky, featuring bold musical storytelling performed by acclaimed Broadway vocalists.”
Tim McGraw shared a photo of the important date night to support Gracie. His wife stunned in an all-burgundy pantsuit. She wore her blonde hair in a half-up/half-down style and finished the look off with a red lip.
As for the “I Like It, I Love It” singer, he wore a blue suit over a brown polo shirt. He wore brown leather boots instead of cowboy boots. But what really surprised fans was his missing customary accessory.
There wasn’t a cowboy hat in sight. The singer usually dons a black cowboy hat for his signature look. Without the hat, fans got a look at his short dark brown hair.
It was a rare sight for fans to see Faith Hill. She left social media in the summer of 2024. Fans are constantly asking her husband to tell her to rejoin the social media site, but no luck so far.
He did, however, share some great news on Instagram. He revealed that fans can see his daughter’s performance on TV in a few months. Tim McGraw shared that The Great War & The Great Gatsby will air on PBS on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, which is Veteran’s Day, which is November
