Many people across the world revel at taking time off over the winter holidays. However, it seems that Country crooner Brett Eldredge doesn’t get time off.
Brett Eldredge’s long-standing Christmas tradition doesn’t let him have a day off during the holidays.
Taste of Country reports that Brett Eldredge seems to just “wanted to enjoy family, the church service and restful holiday.” However, it seems that someone blames his family for not letting him have his Christmas wish.
From the looks of his statements to the media, it is easy to imagine the “Wanna Be That Song” singer with family members twisting his arm. It seems that with a good sense of humor, the star explains his Christmas-time predicament. “They got so mad at me,” explains Eldredge.
Luckily for everyone involved, the “Drunk on Your Love” singer reaches a compromise with his family. Taste of Country describes it as “a little like getting Cookie Monster to sample a plate of chocolate chip.” Surely, Eldredge doesn’t want to disappoint since Christmas is reportedly his favorite holiday.
What is the Christmas tradition the singer couldn’t pass up on?
Brett Eldredge’s long-standing family Christmas tradition came to light when he speaks about breaking it. According to Taste of Country, on Christmas Eve Eldredge and his family, all go to church. The next part of the tradition is sure to warm everyone’s heart. When the choir sings “O Holy Night,” the Country star sneaks in to join them. And the cuteness doesn’t stop there, he’s been doing this since he was a kid.
Heartwarmingly, Eldredge reminisces on Christmases past. He shares what his favorite part of this tradition is. “I would look down from the choir and see my whole family, and they’re all looking up there, smiling and crying and just loving that moment every year.”
Christmas 2020 may be a dream come true for the Country singer.
While it appears that Christmas is Brett Eldredge’s favorite holiday, it should come as no surprise that making a Christmas album is a goal for the singer. Luckily for him, this dreams come true this year. Much like sneaking into the choir to sing at Christmas time, Eldredge has always wanted to record a Christmas album. “I’ve been inspired for this record from a very young age, and I dreamt of the day I could record all these classic songs that I’ve loved since I was a little kid,” says Eldredge. He also says, “Christmas is far and away my favorite holiday, and recording the music for [my Christmas album] Glow is a dream come true.”
