Like most people, Blake Shelton is excited about spring. It’s a chance to enjoy the great outdoors and get some fresh air. Ever since the coronavirus struck in 2020, Americans have spent most of their time indoors. The ongoing pandemic has given everyone a case of cabin fever. Add that to winter sadness, and it makes for a challenging time.
The country music star is getting ready for spring. He’s looking forward to fishing and farming. On Friday, April 9, Blake shared a heartfelt story about tractors via his Twitter account. Apparently, his late father, Dick Shelton, worked as a tractor salesman later in his life.
Blake Shelton celebrates springtime with a new tractor
Dick Shelton had a career selling cars, according to his obituary. He passed away in 2012. On Friday, Blake Shelton shared two photos of tractors to his Twitter account. Above the first photo, he wrote: “My dad sold Kubota tractors right up until he passed away…. He sold me this one in 2006. It’s been a good one. Buuuutttttt………”
Then, he followed up with a photo of himself standing in front of a sparkly new tractor. Blake also wore his fatigues, boots, and baseball cap, which he often wears when he’s not performing on stage. “Today, 15 years later I finally upgraded!” he captioned the photo. “It’s springtime yall! Time to get to farmin’!!!!!!!”

Blake owns a farm in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Blake’s home has four bedrooms, a horse pond, several ponds, and a shed, where he stored his old tractors. He has since listed the ranch for $4.7 million. Since then, Blake has been spending most of his time at his Texoma Shore lake house, which features a recording studio.
It’s the very same ranch that he quarantined with fiance Gwen Stefani and her three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. The couple has been enjoying the great outdoors there. There is plenty of room for the family since it can hold 20 people. It’s also the perfect place for Blake to work on new music.
‘The Voice’ coach shares a photo of massive fish
Blake Shelton may have achieved Hollywood fame thanks to his time on The Voice and his country music, but he still likes to connect to his Midwestern roots. Over the weekend, the singer took to Instagram to announce that he caught a massive paddlefish during his fishing trip in Oklahoma. Blake shared a photo of himself smiling while showing his gigantic catch.
“I’ll be some of y’all have never heard of a paddlefish,” Blake wrote in the caption. “We got them here in my home state! Y’all come to Oklahoma where the outdoors are always open!”

Fans were impressed by the size of the fish. Blake and Gwen spent their time in California catching crabfish late last month. The couple has plans to marry this summer. Check back with Country Music Alley for more news on Blake Shelton.
