Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) dropping July

Taylor wrote the album when she was in her late teens, early twenties. Obviously, she holds it near and dear to her heart because it was the album she wrote by herself. Taylor likened it to the diary entries of that time. It included hit songs such as “Mean,” “Mine,” and “The Story Of Us.”

“The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions, and wild wistfulness,” Taylor Swift wrote in her social media post.  “I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it.”

She recorded the album on her former Big Machine label. In 2019, they sold the master recordings of her music catalog. This prompted her to re-record new versions of her last six albums. So far, Taylor Swift released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). She went to work on her next studio album release, Midnights.
