Earlier today (July 1), Country Now reports that one of America’s favorite couples, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have secured a marriage license. The news comes by way of TMZ. According to the reports, the couple filed for their marriage license in Johnston County, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 29. In Oklahoma, couples have ten days from the day the license is filed to get married.
Not only that, someone close to the couple tells TMZ that the wedding will take place on Blake’s ranch on July 3rd. Furthermore, the source indicates that the couple plans to have an outdoor ceremony. Another source shares some more details with People. “Gwen expressed early on that she really wanted a summer wedding.”
While it took five years for Blake Shelton to pop the question to Gwen Stefani, it only took eight months for the couple to sort out their wedding plans. This is impressive because, from the beginning, the couple has been very cautious about how things are handled amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The source the spoke to People says, “Ever since they got engaged, they have both been adamant that no wedding will happen until it’s safe for family and friends to attend.”

From what the insider shares about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s wedding, it seems like wedding planning has been a whirlwind of emotions for the couple. Gwen felt like there was “no end in sight for the pandemic.” However, “She slowly started planning the wedding this spring though.”
Now, the couple is excited that they feel like the wedding can happen. Not only that, the insider says, “Gwen’s boys will be very involved.” The insider also takes time to dote on Blake. “Blake is a great extra dad and very close with the boys.”
