Carrie Underwood celebrated a special career milestone recently. The country music superstar has had many of them since her time on American Idol. This current milestone is just one more to be added to her growing list of accomplishments. Here are the details of her special celebration.
Carrie Underwood celebrates 15 years
Taking to her Instagram account, Carrie Underwood shared her excitement about her 15th anniversary since becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. It’s always an honor for any country singer to be asked to join such an elite group of talent. Carrie expressed her gratitude with a special message and a series of photos documenting the celebratory event in Nashville.
Carrie Underwood was presented with a huge tower of yummy cupcakes all decked out in gold along with a framed piece commemorating her 15 years as an Opry member. She enjoyed the night in a stunning sleeveless dress that featured delicate purple netting over a layer of white. A skinny belt was wrapped around her slender waistline with the bottom flaring out, reminiscent of a hoop skirt. In addition, Carrie had her hair worn down around her shoulders with soft curls and a side part.
The Good Girl crooner appeared to have put on a special performance on the legendary stage at the Opry. The photos indicated that Carrie belted out her music as only she can.

Carrie meets a legend
What happens when an ultra-famous county star meets a well-known soap legend? The two worlds collided at the Grand Ole Opry when Carrie Underwood met the one and only Susan Lucci. The two fabulous women posed for the perfect photo op backstage and Carrie couldn’t have been more excited about the meeting. In her Instagram post, she called the soap actress “sweet and gorgeous.”
Susan Lucci also got all glammed up for the event by wearing a full-length bright red sleeveless dress complete with dangling earrings that sparkled and red lipstick. Both women looked amazing.
Susan was just as excited to meet Carrie, as she shared in her own Instagram post. Susan Lucci was not only in attendance to enjoy Carrie’s special celebration, but she said that she shared the stage with her as well. She also said that it was quite emotional to have been included in the festivities.
Carrie was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 with fellow country star Garth Brooks presenting her with the honors, per CMT. She undoubtedly has had quite a whirlwind of fame and it doesn’t appear that she is done just yet.
