Guns N’ Roses Frontman Axl Rose Advises Carrie Underwood On Setlist
It seems like Axl Rose can’t get enough of Carrie Underwood. The two formed an unlikely union at the Stagecoach Festival in 2022 when the Guns N’ Roses singer joined her on stage for GNR classics “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”
If Carrie Underwood fans thought her foray into rock was short-lived, they were wrong. During her Denim & Rhinestones tour, she regularly covered the band’s 1987 hit “Welcome to the Jungle.” At the Los Angeles tour stop, she surprised the audience by inviting Axl Rose on stage to perform the song with her.
And Guns N’ Roses reciprocated the gesture. The rock band tapped Carrie Underwood as the opening act for a handful of stops on their We’re F’N’ Back! 2023 tour.
Most notably, the August 26 stop in Nashville, Underwood’s neck of the woods.
While Carrie Underwood has proven she can rock with the best of them, she’s still mainly a country singer. But if you’re going to perform at a rock concert, you better be prepared to rock.
PEOPLE magazine reports that Carrie Underwood was ready, with Axl Rose’s help. The outlet notes that the GNR frontman offered the country singer advice on which songs to add to her setlist.
With his help, she covered rock anthems such as i-Ten’s “Alone,” Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” and Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.”
After the Nashville show, she took to her Twitter to share some highlights of the eventful night.

Carrie Underwood Shows Off Guns Of Her Own In Sleeveless Top
In addition to headlining for Guns N’ Roses and her Reflection Las Vegas Residency, Carrie Underwood performed at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, Illinois, on September 1 and 2.
The “Cowboy Casanova” singer dressed down in jeans but still managed to look glam in a sleeveless sparkling top with metallic hearts. Fans are used to seeing Carrie Underwood’s impressive legs, but her outfit in Chicago revealed that she doesn’t skip arm day, either.

Fans took to the post on her Instagram to share how much they enjoyed the show.
“You killed it last night!” one fan wrote. Another chimed in, “Great night with my daughter! Thanks for playing her fav, All-American Girl.”
One Instagram user dubbed the singer “fine as ever.” Another comment mentioned the singer’s sparkly outfit, “I’m sure you totally rocked it, just like you’re rocking that amazing outfit!”
