Josh Bryant and Kristin Chenoweth’s romance started off as a meet-cute before it became their happily ever after.
Josh met Kristin Chenoweth for the first time while she was at her niece’s wedding in 2016. He and his band, Backroad Anthem, were performing at the nuptials. While Kristin and Josh both noticed one another at the event, nothing romantic had happened since they were both seeing different people at the time.
Once Kristin and Josh became friends, she decided to connect with him online. After two years, fate decided to take reign when Kristin’s nephew got married and booked Josh and his band, Backroad Anthem, to play for his big day. Kristin confessed, “We had kind of become online friends. I just got to know the whole band because, you know, that’s my people – my tribe,” during her appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show in November 2021. She then stated “And we became friends so by the time we met at the second wedding is when sparks flew.”

Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Bryant began their whirlwind romance, just two short years after their first meet-cute.
March Of 2020
They are now two years into their relationship, the couple decided to quarantine together during the COVID-19 pandemic. As Kristin and Josh were living together, they filmed several TikTok videos with each other to pass the time.
October Of 2021
After just three years of dating, Josh popped the big question! Kristin penned “Guess you’re stuck with me now, @joshbguitar,” on her Instagram. She followed with “I love you and I’m never letting you go. A million times yes!!!.”
July Of 2022
During her appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan, Kristin explained that she and Josh had been trying to plan their big day, but, their busy careers and the pandemic were both getting in their way.

She stated “We’ve talked about like ‘Just go off and do it’- I know that, but my mother is like, ‘If do you that to me… don’t do that to the family.'” She said at the time, “So, we’re just going to do a small thing and just have our closest loved ones attend.”
April Of 2023
Close to one year later, Kristin confessed to Entertainment Tonight that their plans are still “going” but, they are struggling due to logistics and her “really big family.” She stated, “When people tell us to just have family, we’re like, ‘it’s gonna be big!” It sounds like this could happen soon if it is up to the happy couple.
July Of 2023
Josh and Kristin enjoyed a nice date night out on Broadway. Kristin captioned a selfie of her and Josh holding their playbills “You have three weeks left to see @paradebway! @michaelarden you are a genius.” Follow by “The cast led by @bensplatt & @micaela_diamond, the musicians, and the crew! Bravo!”
September Of 2023
On September 2, 2023, the pair finally wed in Dallas, Texas. Kristin stunned everyone with her strapless bridal gown with beaded embellishments.
November Of 2023
Kristin captioned a series of cute and cozy photos with Josh while they were celebrating the holiday, “First married Thanksgiving!! So much to be thankful for. Love Y’all!!!”
