In an awful moment during the show, several fans of The Voice, are upset with Gwen Stefani and slam her for “throwing a contestant under the bus.”
Fans Upset That Tanner Is Eliminated
Fans stated they are “worried” for a contestant on Team Gwen, after they blamed the star for his elimination.
On the episode Monday, viewers of The Voice, slammed Gwen, 54, for “hurting” a contestant on her team, Tanner Massey.
In that moment, Tanner had an opportunity to remain a contestant on the show, but was ultimately knocked out.
However, numerous fans think Gwen Stefani is to blame, and that she set him up for failure by picking a song that didn’t really suit his vocal talent.
Viewers Rage Commented
On X, formerly Twitter, a viewer commented in a rage, “Gwen is trying SO hard not to say ‘That sucked.’ But the more she talks in circles, the more it becomes obvious to everyone – including Tanner – that it was awful. #TheVoice”
On YouTube, an upset viewer commented, “Gwen should never have given him that song, that is hurting him and Tanner should never have agreed to sing a song that does not suit his vocal ability… it is okay to challenge the participant, and always within the participants vocal range…”
“I am very sorry that this has happened and it is also posted online, this will remain here for life.. I am worried about Tanner and how this affects him emotionally.”
She had Tanner perform, Thnks fr th Mmers by the well-known rock band, Fall Out Boy. Even the guest coach, Chance The Rapper had admitted during a prerecorded session, the song was a hard one to sing.
Gwen, the No Doubt alum, also caused a riff online with her song selection for Tanner in a previous round. She was then accused of favoritism between the contestants on her team.
“Gwen isn’t looking past this kid’s appearance to hear him singing a boring off-key. Yikes. #Tanner,” said a fan on X.
Someone else commented, “I don’t get it. She’s not a good coach for him because she constantly tells him he’s amazing when he isn’t.”

There’s Some Doubt…
Tanner’s elimination also enticed fans to voice their certainty that Gwens shot at winning this season, is pretty slim.
The Top 12 performed in Monday night’s episode. They hoped to make it through to the December 19th season finale, but out of three Team Gwen members, only BIAS made it to the Top 9.
Fan’s admitted they weren’t surprised by the results and many had predicted that Gwen’s team would be eliminated pretty quickly.
“Even Gwen can’t b.s. her way out of this one,” commented a Reddit user.
“Gwen isn’t good at picking. I think she has picked him solely off of his stage presence,” another wrote, talking about the star’s only remaining singer.
“Gwen’s team is so disappointing,” a third remarked.
“Wouldn’t it be funny if all of Gwen’s team was eliminated,” a fourth added.
