Blake Shelton is going into 2024 without love by his side. Though he will be celebrating with country music’s finest, one vital person in his life will be visibly absent. So, what will happen when the clock strikes midnight? Read on for more details.

Blake Shelton’s Loveless New Year’s Eve

It has been an exciting and transformative year for Blake Shelton. It started with him exiting The Voice after starting with the reality singing competition twenty-three seasons ago. He also has had success with his new venture, Barmageddon which he hosts alongside Carson Daly and Nikki Garcia (Bella). Fans love watching celebrities and everyday people playing fun and exciting bar games, laughing until they cry. He has also gotten into Hallmark movie work while opening his Las Vegas restaurant, Ole Red. To end the year, he is performing on Nashville’s Big Bang which will be an epic show.

The hope was that his wife of two years, Gwen Stefani, would be by his side in Nashville to smooch him at midnight to ring in the New Year. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. According to Taste of Country, Stefani will actually be in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve. Though she had hoped to be by her husband’s side, she also shared that: “Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas.” Initially, she was going to decline the offer but it seemingly had nothing to do with her husband.

“Last year I did Vegas and I was like, ‘Remind me to never do Vegas again.’ You kinda sometimes want to … not be the host. Then I was like, ‘Eh, I’m gonna do it. If you’re gonna be working then I’m gonna be working.’ So I’m just gonna fly in and out it’s gonna be awesome. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Unfortunately, this means that the two will not be together to kiss and that is truly sad. However, Blake is really excited to be with Trace Adkins. In fact, he had hoped they could get Trace for the night and when that came to fruition, he was thrilled.

Trouble In Paradise

There has long been speculation that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been struggling in their marriage. He enjoys his life in Oklahoma and it seems that Gwen still loves the idea of being in a big city. Allegedly, there has also been talk of marriage counseling but that seems to have fallen through. They do try to put on a strong front and appear hopeful that they can get through anything. Sadly, Gwen did not have a favorable season on The Voice this year so that could have been difficult. Now, Season 24 is over and she is not coming back so maybe they can enjoy time together after the New Year.
