In one of Dolly Parton’s most-loved songs, she begs a woman named Jolene not to take her man. The lyrics of the song have long sparked rumors that Carl Dean was unfaithful during his marriage to Dolly Parton.
However, during the interview with Saga, Dolly Parton addresses the rumors that she cheated on him. In the 1980s, the singer and actress co-starred in a movie with Burt Reynolds, sparking affair rumors.
The same rumors claim that she also had an affair with Sylvester Stallone while filming Rhinestone.
“They’ve had me having an affair with everybody I’ve ever worked with,” she joked to the outlet.
She said that her husband has a good sense of humor about the infidelity rumors. “He’s always treated these things tongue-in-cheek and he’ll say, ‘H***, I’d feel bad for any man that didn’t fall in love with her.’”
