Jelly Roll is giving all of the music in 2024 and that is a promise that he has made to his fans. He has had an immensely successful 2023 yet he somehow wants to top that in the coming year. So, what exactly will he be doing? Read on for more details.
Jelly Roll Giving All The Music In 2024
2023 gave Jelly Roll all he could have wanted and more. Not only did he win his first CMA Award but he performed his smash hit “Need A Favor” with Wynonna Judd. More so, she never says “yes” to anyone but she obliged him and was so nervous to perform, fans were actually worried for her. Of course, they had no idea that her off-behavior was due to nerves as she is a seasoned professional. However, she later revealed that she wanted to do her best by Jelly and she definitely did that. Then, he was nominated for two GRAMMYs which was the highest honor for any musical artist.
Jelly will also be performing live for New Year’s Eve so he is taking 2023 and all of his success with him. Yet, according to Music Mayhem, 2024 will see a lot more music from the superstar. He recently spoke to The New York Times’ Popcast and shared more details of what is to come. Music will start coming and it will just keep flowing from Jelly so fans better get ready for the rush.
“This was my philosophy coming into the music game because of all the inspirations I had. I wanted to put music out like a hip hop guy, and I’ll do that in ‘24. I’ll put out a lot of music. I want to release music like a hip hop artist. I want to write songs like a country music songwriter. Nobody writes more songs than a dude in town that’s just getting paid to write. You know what I mean? And I want to tour like a rock and roll act.”
This year was less about pumping out songs and staying focused on Whitsitt Chapel. This is the album that kept him occupied for much of 2023. He noted that this was his “art” and since it was really important to him, he wanted to dedicate all he had to it.
Bring on 2024
Now that 2024 is just days away, what kind of music can Jelly Roll fans look forward to? Admittedly, he will always write and sing about what is happening in his life. Furthermore, he will never forget where he came from and the struggles that have shaped him into who he is today. He notes that he has very dark demons and that has to be put in what he sings. Of course, Jelly will touch on his loving marriage to Bunnie XO, with whom he renewed his vows in September. Therefore, a softer side will be shown and fans can catch him live at Stagecoach, Country Jam, Tailgate N’ Tallboys Iowa, and Crash My Playa.
