Luke Combs is easily one of the most recognizable artists in country music today. Fresh off of cleaning up at last year’s CMA’s, Combs is already hard at work on new music, including a brand new song. So, what do we know about it so far?
Luke Combs Won Big At 2023 CMAs
When it comes to wins at the CMA’s, no one has cleaned house quite like Luke Combs. In just a handful of years, he has become one of the winningest artists in the ceremony’s storied history. Indeed, his meteoric rise is the sort that few ever achieve, and his fans agree that he deserves every bit of recognition he gets.
At the most recent CMA ceremony, Luke Combs walked away with the award for Single Of The Year for his cover of the Tracy Chapman classic, Fast Car.
As a bonus, Tracy Chapman also won a CMA for the song, as she is the sole songwriter of the tune. Indeed, this came 35 years after the song was originally released (1988).
Combs Does A Lot More Than Win Awards
With as much as Luke Combs does musically, it’s easy to forget that he has a lot more going on than recording hit records and singles. When he is not selling out arenas and hitting the road, the North Carolina native is very much a family man.
He is a proud father to two young boys. Together with his wife, they are a happy family of four. Family values are a cornerstone of country music. So, when it comes to Luke Combs, it’s not surprising that he is another artist among many who is happy to carry that mantle.
Country Artist Shares Teaser Of Unreleased Song
With everything that Luke Combs has going on in his life, he recently teased fans with an unreleased song he is working on. Judging by the tone and subject matter of the new track, the themes certainly hit close to home for Luke Combs.
As many listeners know, there’s a subgenre of country music appropriately referred to as “Dad Songs.” According to Combs, that was the inspiration behind his latest track, The Man He Sees in Me.
Fittingly, Combs shared a clip of him playing the tune on an acoustic guitar while on “daddy duty.” Based on the early reception from his fans, the North Carolina artist certainly seems to have another hit on his hands.

Along with that, even though Luke Combs’ boys are a little too young to currently appreciate the depth of their dad’s new song, odds are good that it’ll resonate with them as they get older, the same way it is resonating with his fans now.
